Javea Villas For Sale - About Javea
If you have dreamed of buying property in Spain, then one of the primary places that comes to mind is Javea. A perfect combination of modern and traditional Spanish life, set in the heart of orange and lemon country, where the air is scented with the perfume of the flowers when the trees are in blossom.
Javea is a port town situated between the La Nao Cape and the San Antonio Cape on the east coast of Spain at the northern end of The Costa Blanca. Javea fulfills those dreams of spending warm sunny days on the legendary unspoiled sandy beaches and taking long solitary walks along the lovely Mediterranean coastline coves or where the rugged mountains rise up with tranquility.
Not only is the town of Javea known for its amazing weather, it offers fantastic opportunities for outdoor pursuits to engage in. Javea has, for a long time, been a favorite spot for many people on the Costa Blanca, either having holiday homes or living permanently. In the busy summer season it's popular not only for its lovely beaches, bars and restaurants, but also for its fun local fiestas and its near-perfect climate. Off-season, things quiet down a lot, but there is always entertainment to be found.
The Donkey Sanctuary which is situated on the road from the village of Jalon, is always a favorite with the children and adults alike, head towards the Las Bernias mountain range and you will see the signs. From the port area of Javea, there is a rocky beach front with a Tosca stone layer, facing the sea which looks like it was cut and shaped by someone with a very straight cutting tool. That is precisely what has happened; it is not a natural phenomenon. This was first used by the Romans to make coffins and stone walls, afterward the soft stone was used locally to make ornamental arches and walls for the villas being built in the area.
Javea has three main urban areas in: the old town, the port and the Arenal. The old town is a maze of appealing, narrow streets and hosts a colorful market. The port is home to a small fishing fleet, which is busy all year round and where you can enjoy fresh fish in the local restaurants, or purchase to take home at a very reasonable rate.
The Arenal is the most important tourist area and has a far-reaching sandy beach with shallow, safe waters and a promenade with many bars and restaurants. During the summer months, the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and here you can purchase attractive gifts in the many local crafts stalls which are set up in the evening.
Javea is within easy reach of many other attractive spots like Altea, the inland village of Jalon with its flea market and the ever-popular Benidorm. And from the AP7 it is advisable to take the exit marked Benissa, or the N332, which crosses Gata de Gorgos following the signpost, after 6 kilometers, it leads to Javea.
